Unit 3 Patterning
Learning Goals: We will learn how to describe, extend and create a variety of number and geometric patterns.
Success Criteria:
I will be successful when I can:
□ identify, extend and create a repeating pattern that has two attributes (e.g. colour, shape, size, direction, number, etc.)
□ identify and describe number patterns involving addition, and subtraction (using a number line, calendar, or hundreds chart)
□ extend repeating, growing, and shrinking number patterns
□ create a number pattern from an addition or subtraction pattern rule (e.g. start at 3 and add 6 each time)
□ represent simple geometric patterns with a number sequence (e.g. term 1. term 2, term 3 etc…)
